From an early age, we are accustomed to speaking of the Soul as synonymous with Consciousness, to the point of replacing the term and referring to the Soul as something taken for granted, something that everyone in the world has, deluded that there cannot be a person who does not have it. In truth, the Soul is something much more complex, as everyone possesses Consciousness, but not everyone possesses the Soul. This is because Consciousness is what you really are, it is your mind, it is that part of your existence that goes well beyond the appearance of the physical body in which you reside. The Soul, however, is the evolution of Consciousness, thanks to the succession of reincarnations that have led it to expand to a higher level that has memorized many more past lives. To think that everyone has a Soul, according to the true concept, would be like believing that people are born already 90 years old, without realizing that no one is born an adult, but rather we are born children and from that starting point we must then grow and mature; despite this, not everyone manages to reach and therefore live to the age of 90. This is to understand that a child is born a child, not an old person, so it is unthinkable to define them as mature and evolved at only one year of age. For the same reason, a Soul is the succession of continuous and uninterrupted reincarnations, which has led Consciousness to evolve so much that it has become a Soul. When a person manages to reincarnate many times, continuing with spiritual growth from life to life, a Soul is born. It is something that goes far beyond Consciousness, because it is not just its next level, but something much greater. We could say that the Soul becomes conscious, in the sense that it becomes capable of making decisions and acting on life, creating new situations and solutions, separately from what the human ego is doing. Consciousness, on the other hand, is not capable of creating situations in life: it can guide the human ego to make better choices than others, and this is very helpful, but it cannot create favorable situations for its life out of nothing, because it does not have enough experience and ability to do so. There is a big difference between the human ego and Consciousness, and even more so between the human ego and the Soul. We can say that the human ego is what you recognize most in yourself: your thoughts, your way of reasoning, your character, and therefore your current personality. The human ego is your human mind, that part of you that you find immediately on the surface, so it is your way of living life and reacting to the situations you face every day. In practice, the human ego is what you say you are, it is what you describe when you talk about yourself. Consciousness, on the other hand, is something much deeper within you, and although it may seem strange, it is who you really are, while the human ego is a personality you have had to create in this life to adapt to the society around you. Your way of thinking and living your life has been created over time, from when you went to school to the time you spent with your family, because you had to adapt to other people, to your loved ones, to the rules of this society and everything that follows, so you created a human ego, to which you have become so attached that you recognize it as your true identity. Your Consciousness, on the other hand, is your true identity, but because you are unaware of it, you have had to hide it deep inside, leaving a false self on the surface, which is more suitable to show to others. Since the whole society pushes you to be much more the human ego than to be yourself—that is, the higher self—you have hardly had a chance to know who you really are, because you were too young when you were set on the path to becoming the human ego. When you were a child, you were much more aware of yourself, although you were not able to describe what you were feeling or experiencing. However, you were much more connected to your Consciousness. In fact, you noticed many injustices, you wondered why certain things were one way rather than another, you were doubtful about how things work in today's world, but the answers you got from adults did not silence your sense of injustice and dissatisfaction with many unresolved questions. Their way of answering you was to silence you, closing your mind. So you were raised to accept false or half-answers, to train yourself not to ask questions anymore, and, ironically, today you are probably that adult who silences children's questions because you don't know how to answer them. When they ask you questions about the injustice of the world, the only thing you can say is, "That's the way the world is! Period! Now eat and don't ask any more silly questions!" Yet those questions are dictated by a higher instinct called Conscience, an instinct that is silenced by the human ego.

So what you believe yourself to be and the presentation you make of yourself is actually the biography of your human ego, while your true self, the real you, is so hidden within you that not even knows it. This is because you have been prevented from allowing it to resurface and evolve, forced since childhood to be ashamed of it and lock it up in a cell with rusty metal bars to prevent it from coming out even once, even by mistake. Even if you think you know yourself, because you show one face to the people you know while inside you are someone else, I guarantee that the person you think you are is still very far from who you really are. You are much more than just a person who hides their thoughts and feelings from others by showing different ones; you are something that goes far beyond your current understanding. There is a big difference between the human self and Consciousness, as well as your Higher Self. The birth of the Soul begins when a Consciousness, which reincarnates several times, pushes itself to seek something more than a simple human life composed of unique everyday elements, which are working and raising a family. When a Consciousness pushes itself to seek something else, including answers to its questions and knowledge beyond what is already known, a process of evolution is activated that will lead the Consciousness to evolve into a true Soul. What it seeks is a spiritual path that allows it to be something more than a Consciousness trapped in a human body: it wants to be free to make its own choices, it wants to find Awakening. At that point, Consciousness will take fundamental steps towards evolution, pushing the human ego to perform certain actions to find its Awakening and, through this, Consciousness will become a Soul. When the Soul is born, however, we should not think of it as indestructible, because even a Soul, just like Consciousness, if abandoned without nourishment, can deteriorate over time. As already mentioned, in fact, in every life we must be able to achieve reincarnation, but to do so we must arrive prepared. If we manage to reincarnate in one life, it does not necessarily mean that we will succeed in all of them, because in all of them we will have to try again. Once you reach a certain level, where Consciousness has become much greater and more evolved and can be considered a Soul, you will find it easier to reincarnate, as at this point it is something you have done at least a hundred times, but this does not mean that there is no possibility that a Soul will fail to reincarnate. This is because it all depends on the quality of the human ego's life, which, if lived in a certain way, will lead to spiritual evolution and therefore the Soul will continue to reincarnate and grow exponentially. If, on the other hand, the life of the human ego is not lived in the healthiest and most correct way possible, but is instead lived in a destructive way, the human ego causes its Soul to regress, dragging it back down instead of allowing it to evolve and move forward: it makes it go backwards, causing it to lose much of the work it had done in past lives. In essence, no one has a one-way ticket to evolution, but each time we find ourselves facing a return ticket to a point in the past if we do not take advantage of our current life to improve ourselves where we have left gaps. This is because there are many obstacles to overcome in order to be reincarnated in each life and to live the kind of life that one's Soul aspires to. I would therefore like to bring them to light so that you can understand what is hindering your life and your constant well-being, in order to break them down in this life and not have to carry them over into others.
